My vegas redemption not appearing in mgm rewards

I have redeemed a my vegas one night at park MGM. I got the confirmation email with the redemption code link. when i click it, i sign into mgm rewards and it insists on me using my mgm offer which i do not want to use for only one night as i will be going back at the end of the month for 4 nights. I want to use myvegas reward and not mgm offer but it does not appear even though i go through the email link provided.
