Kauai Craft Fair

Is the weekly Kauai Made Craft Fair on Fridays at the Outrigger in Lihue the only craft fair on the island? There used to be one that changed location regularly but I can’t find future events listed on the Kauai Festivals website. Traveling November 19-25.

The Kauai Made Craft Fair in Lihue at the Outrigger on Fridays is one of the most consistent and well-known weekly craft fairs on the island. It features local artisans selling handmade goods, food, and crafts, making it a great spot for visitors looking to experience local culture and pick up souvenirs.

However, it is not the only craft fair on Kauai. While the previous “rotating” craft fair that changed locations around the island seems to have been discontinued or has less predictable scheduling, Kauai still hosts several seasonal and occasional craft events, especially around holidays or community festivals.

  • Kapaa Art Night / Craft Markets: Occasionally held on select evenings in the town of Kapaa, often featuring local artists and small vendors.
  • Poipu Village Farmers & Artisans Market: Sometimes includes handcrafted items along with produce and food vendors, mainly on weekends.
  • Holiday or Seasonal Fairs: Around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays, many resorts, community centers, and schools host craft fairs or bazaars for locals and tourists.
  • Farmer’s Markets with Crafts: Lihue and Hanalei farmers markets occasionally feature local artisans alongside food vendors.

For your travel dates of November 19-25, it is a good idea to check local event calendars or social media pages for Kauai community centers and resorts, as some smaller craft fairs may not be listed on the official Kauai Festivals website. The Kauai Made Craft Fair in Lihue remains a reliable option if you want a guaranteed experience.

Tip: Arriving early in the day ensures the best selection of unique handcrafted items, and you can often meet the artists directly to learn more about their work.
