Visa free travel queey
Hi, the current Visa free travel for holders of Irish passport of up to 30 days. Can I check if this is up to 30 days for each trip and not 30 days for all trips totalled up during the period it's been offered?
Thanks
For holders of an Irish passport traveling to China under the current 30-day visa-free policy, the 30-day period generally applies to each individual entry, not as a cumulative total over multiple trips. This means that each time you enter China under the visa-free arrangement, you are allowed to stay for up to 30 days from the date of entry.
Important points to note about the visa-free stay:
- The 30-day allowance is counted per entry. If you leave China and re-enter, a new 30-day period begins, provided the visa-free policy is still in effect and your passport is valid.
- The policy applies only to eligible travelers and certain entry points, so you must check if your point of entry is listed as eligible for visa-free entry.
- You must have proof of onward travel (return ticket or ticket to another destination) and a valid passport for at least six months beyond your planned stay.
Additional considerations:
- Repeated short trips under visa-free entry are generally allowed, but excessive or frequent entries could raise questions with immigration officers. It is advisable to maintain reasonable gaps between entries.
- Always check the latest updates before travel, as visa-free policies can be temporarily suspended or changed due to public health or diplomatic reasons.
In summary, the 30-day visa-free stay is calculated per trip, not cumulatively over multiple trips. Each new entry under the policy gives you a fresh 30-day period, subject to eligibility and entry requirements.
