I will be visiting for 3 nights in July, and will like to know your feedback for me to decide which hotel to choose from:
1. Residence Inn Chicago/Downtown/River North
2.Home2 Suites by Hilton River North
3. L7 Chicago by Lotte
This is my second time in Chicago, traveling with husband and two sons 21 and 14. Last time we stayed @ Hampton Inn Majestic Theather, now I will like to experience River North area.
Will appreciate your opinion. Thanks.
It's great that you're returning to Chicago and looking to experience the River North area! Each of the hotels you are considering has its own set of advantages, so let’s break down each option to help you make the best choice for your family.
1. Residence Inn Chicago/Downtown/River North
The Residence Inn is an excellent choice for families, especially if you're staying for a few days. This hotel is known for offering spacious rooms and suites, many of which have kitchenettes, making it ideal for families who like the flexibility of preparing meals during their stay. It’s also pet-friendly, which could be a plus if you're traveling with a furry companion in the future.
2. Home2 Suites by Hilton River North
Home2 Suites offers a more modern, contemporary feel with flexible spaces and a vibrant, youthful atmosphere. It's also a great option for families, as the hotel has suites with full kitchens. This is a relatively newer hotel, so it might offer a more modern aesthetic compared to the Residence Inn.
3. L7 Chicago by Lotte
L7 Chicago by Lotte is a chic, boutique-style hotel that offers a more upscale experience in the River North area. It's more stylish and trendy, appealing to those looking for modern luxury and a higher-end feel. The hotel also has a rooftop bar, which can be a fun place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
Recommendation:
Since you're traveling with two sons, the Residence Inn or Home2 Suites would likely be your best bet. Both offer spacious accommodations with kitchenettes, which will give you the flexibility to prepare meals and enjoy more room to spread out. Between the two, if you’re looking for something more modern with a youthful vibe, Home2 Suites would be a great choice. If you prefer a slightly more traditional but spacious suite experience, Residence Inn could be ideal.
If you're looking for a more upscale, trendy experience and are okay with paying a little more, L7 Chicago by Lotte could provide that, but it may be better suited for adults or couples rather than families with kids.
In any case, River North is a great area with lots to see and do, and all three of these hotels are conveniently located for exploring the city!
