Stay and fly

I'm just starting to search flying Auto Chicago to Montreal or flying from Milwaukee with a stop.

What I'm looking for in this form is a good hotel if we did a stay in park type of thing. I want something economical but also want to get to the airport with a good shuttle service. Thanks so much!

For a “park and fly” stay near Chicago airports, the main options are O’Hare International Airport (ORD) or Milwaukee’s General Mitchell Airport (MKE), depending on your route preference. The goal is an economical stay with reliable airport shuttle service.

If you choose Chicago O’Hare:

  • Hilton Garden Inn Chicago O’Hare Airport: Mid-range, reliable hotel with free 24-hour shuttle service, free parking for park-and-fly packages, and comfortable rooms. It’s a popular choice for travelers seeking convenience.
  • Hyatt Regency O’Hare: A bit pricier, but right on airport grounds with frequent shuttle service and full amenities. Very convenient if you want to minimize travel time.
  • Best Western O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center: Budget-friendly with complimentary airport shuttle and park-and-fly options. It’s basic but reliable for a short stay before your flight.
  • Holiday Inn Express Chicago O’Hare: Economical with free parking and 24-hour airport shuttle, often includes breakfast.

If you choose Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport:

  • Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Milwaukee Airport: Affordable, clean, with free airport shuttle and park-and-fly packages. Breakfast is often included.
  • Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport Hotel & Conference Center: Convenient for airport access, with free shuttle and reasonable park-and-fly rates.
  • La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Milwaukee Airport: Economical, reliable shuttle service, and standard park-and-fly amenities. Simple but functional for travelers.

Additional tips:

  • Check whether the hotel requires advance reservation for parking spots; park-and-fly availability can be limited.
  • Confirm shuttle schedules; most operate 24/7 but frequency may vary.
  • Compare total cost including parking fees—sometimes a slightly more expensive hotel can save money if parking is included for multiple days.
  • Book as early as possible, especially for summer or holiday travel, to secure the best rates and ensure shuttle availability.

In summary, both O’Hare and Milwaukee have multiple budget-friendly hotels with shuttle service and park-and-fly options. Your choice depends on your flight routing, budget, and how close you want to be to the airport for convenience.
