Weather in Anzo Borrega in November

We’re considering a visit during November & just checking what we might expect weather wise.? Is snow likely?

Visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in November is generally very pleasant, as this time of year marks mild temperatures and comfortable conditions for outdoor activities. The desert climate means you can expect warm days and cooler nights, making it ideal for hiking, sightseeing, and stargazing.

Typical weather conditions in November:

  • Daytime highs usually range from the mid-60s to mid-70s °F (18–24 °C).
  • Nighttime lows can drop to the mid-40s to low 50s °F (7–12 °C), so layering is recommended if you plan to be out in the early morning or evening.
  • Rain is infrequent, but occasional light showers can occur; the desert is generally dry.
  • Snow is extremely unlikely in the desert valley itself, though the surrounding mountains at higher elevations (above 4,000–5,000 feet) could see occasional snow, especially late in the month.

For planning purposes:

  • Daytime activities: Comfortable with light layers, sunscreen, and a hat recommended.
  • Evening/morning: Bring a warm jacket or fleece for cooler temperatures.
  • Water and sun protection: Still essential, even in November, due to desert sun intensity.

Overall, November is one of the best times to visit Anza-Borrego, as temperatures are much more moderate than the summer heat, and snow is not something you need to worry about in the main desert areas.
