luggage storage after a cruise
I have 4 to 5 hours after my cruise to tour as well as two days before. Can anyone recommend a place to store my luggage for a few hours? It will be on a Sunday.
Thanks.
If you have a few hours in New Orleans after your cruise and need to store luggage, there are several convenient options. Since it’s a Sunday, some places may have limited hours, so planning ahead is key.
Options for luggage storage:
- Hotels near the cruise terminal: Many hotels in the French Quarter and near the Convention Center will allow luggage storage even if you are not staying overnight. You can call ahead and ask if they offer this service for a few hours.
- Luggage storage services: Companies such as LuggageHero, Vertoe, or Bounce have locations in downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter. They allow you to drop off your luggage for a few hours and pick it up later. You can reserve online in advance to ensure availability.
- Cruise terminal storage: Some cruise lines provide luggage storage for a few hours after disembarkation. Contact your cruise line to see if this service is available on your ship and date.
Additional tips:
- Check the hours for luggage storage services on Sundays, as some may have limited weekend availability.
- Consider walking or taking a short ride to nearby attractions or restaurants while your luggage is stored to make the most of your time.
- Confirm pricing ahead of time, as most luggage storage services charge by the bag and by the hour.
By using one of these options, you can enjoy a few hours exploring New Orleans after your cruise without worrying about dragging your bags around.
