October visit - help narrowing down hotels
Hello,
My partner and I will be visiting Savannah for the first time in mid-October and are trying to narrow down the hotel options we think suit us best. We definitely want to stay in the Historic District, steps away from a DOT shuttle stop. We also want to avoid places with stairs, such as the Eliza Thompson House, which I know people love, but with mobility issues, wouldn’t work. We prefer smaller to larger, charm over glitz, and quite v. buzzy.
I’d welcome pros and cons on the following hotels—and suggestions of others not on our short list. Pricewise, we’d like to stay in a really nice place but not in the highest bracket:
- De Soto
- Marshall House
- Perry Lane
- Thompson (might be too expensive)
