Octoberfest Kissimmee FL (Krush Brau)

Anyone been to this Octoberfest? I've been to the one in Cape Coral and it was amazing. Just wondering if worth our time to go out of our way to check it out on Saturday Oct 4th. And what do they charge to get in?

Great question. I found some up-to-date info about Oktoberfest at Krush Brau Park in Kissimmee, so here’s what you’re likely to experience and whether it’s “worth it” to take a trip out there.

What Is Krush Brau Oktoberfest?

Krush Brau Park in Kissimmee hosts a very German-festival–style Oktoberfest with live music, German food (sausages, pretzels, etc.), beer games, and a big tent (or “fest tent”) for the main events.

The event runs Friday through Sunday during Oktoberfest, and the schedule typically starts around 4 pm for the main event, though the “PIC” (Portal Immersion Center) opens earlier if you just want food and beer.

There’s live entertainment, including German bands, polka, and more.

Ticket / Admission Cost

  • General Admission: According to Krush Brau’s website, the general admission is free.
  • Patriot Package: $10 — this includes admission plus live music, food, and one non-alcoholic drink or a 16 oz draft beer.
  • Prost Package: $30 — this gives you admission, entertainment, plus a food + drink voucher (choice of 16 oz draft beer, cider, wine, or well drink) and a festival entree.
  • Cheers Package: $40 — includes admission, food + drink package, a festival entree, *and* a commemorative Oktoberfest stein.
  • VIP Experience: $50 — this adds two beverages, a festival dessert, the stein, and “VIP” access.
  • Kids Ticket: Free for children under 12.

Is It Worth Going?

Here are a few pros and trade-offs, based on what I found and how it compares to a “classic” Oktoberfest like Cape Coral or Munich-style:

  • Pros:
    • Very family-friendly atmosphere during the day. Picnic-style German food + beer + games + live music.
    • Good variety of ticket options, so you can choose how “festival-y” you want to go (just hang out, or get the stein + food + drink combos).
    • Live German music, keg tapping, and traditional Oktoberfest entertainment.
    • Dog-friendly event (according to Krush Brau) — could make for a fun, relaxed outing.
  • Trade-Offs / Things to Think About:
    • Free general admission means it could get crowded, especially later in the evening or on weekends. Plan to arrive earlier if you want space in the tent or a good spot for music.
    • Food and beer cost on top of your ticket — the cheaper packages don’t include unlimited beer. (Beer refills are mentioned in their marketing.)
    • If you're expecting a *very authentic, Munich-style massive fest*, this may be smaller-scale compared to big Oktoberfests, but still very festive and well done.
    • Parking: The site mentions using the WEC (World Event Center) parking lot or the PIC lot, so depending on crowd size, that could be a factor.

My Verdict: Yes — I think it's totally worth going, especially if you enjoy German food, beer, live music, and a festive but not overly “tourist trap” environment. For a Saturday (like your Oct 4 date), you’re likely to get great atmosphere, especially if you go around mid-afternoon into evening. The free admission is a big plus, making it easy to check out without over-committing, and you can scale up with a “Prost” or “Cheers” package if you want food + beer + a souvenir stein.

One tip: arrive earlier (when things open) to enjoy the full experience — food, games, and music — before it gets more crowded. Also, check Krush Brau’s website or Eventbrite for up-to-date event times / band schedules for that day.
