24 Hour Spa in Shanghai?
We're visiting Shanghai in late December and would like to try a 24 hour spa. I'm having trouble researching them.
Can someone help provide some 24 Hour Spas near People's Square? We'd like to try one that also serves a buffet, food.
Thanks.
Finding a true 24-hour spa in Shanghai, especially near People’s Square, can be a bit tricky, as most high-end spa and wellness centers have limited operating hours, usually closing around midnight. However, there are some options that stay open very late or offer late-night services along with dining.
Here are some options you can consider:
- Dragonfly Therapeutic Retreat – Popular chain with multiple locations in Shanghai. Some locations are open until midnight. They offer massage, body treatments, and relaxing lounges. While not a full buffet, some locations provide snacks and drinks.
- Angsana Spa at JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai – Located near People’s Square, offers late-night appointments and includes some dining options within the hotel, though strictly speaking, the spa itself may not operate 24 hours.
- Chi, The Spa at Shangri-La – High-end option near People’s Square. The spa operates late with luxurious facilities, and you can dine in the hotel’s restaurant, which is open late.
Practical tips:
- Most “24-hour” or very late spas are part of luxury hotels; truly independent 24-hour spas with buffet service are rare.
- Consider booking a private room or treatment in advance, especially in December when demand is higher.
- If a full buffet experience is important, you may need to combine a late-night spa session with hotel dining rather than expecting the spa itself to serve a full buffet.
In summary, while fully 24-hour spas with buffet service are nearly non-existent near People’s Square, late-night hotel spas with dining options are your best bet. Booking ahead is strongly recommended.
