Trying to locate some attractions on the map
Trip Advisor usually has addresses and map locations for tourist sites, but this information is missing from the listings for some Qingdao attractions.
I’m wondering where are Hisense Plaza, the Protestant Church and the Taitung Night Market?
If someone could tell me the nearest subway stop or the neighborhood and a nearby street intersection, I should be able to find these places on the map.
Finding key attractions in Qingdao can be a bit tricky if the map information is incomplete. Here’s a detailed guide to the locations you mentioned, along with nearby neighborhoods, streets, and subway stops to help you navigate:
1. Hisense Plaza
- Neighborhood: Shinan District, Qingdao
- Nearby streets: Intersection of Hong Kong Middle Road (香港中路) and Fuzhou Road (福州路)
- Nearest subway stop: Hong Kong Road Station (香港路站) on Line 3, about a 5–10 minute walk
- Notes: A major shopping and commercial area, easy to spot once you are on Hong Kong Middle Road.
2. Qingdao Protestant Church (St. Michael’s Church)
- Neighborhood: Shinan District, near the Qingdao Beer Museum area
- Nearby streets: Jiaozhou Road (胶州路) and Yunxiao Road (云霄路) intersection
- Nearest subway stop: Zhongshan Road Station (中山路站) on Line 3, approximately a 10–15 minute walk
- Notes: This historic German-era church is a prominent landmark on a hill; it is visible from a distance, and small signs will direct you from the main road.
3. Taitung Night Market (台东夜市)
- Neighborhood: Shinan District, Taitung Street area
- Nearby streets: Jiaonan Road (胶南路) and Taitung Road (台东路) intersection
- Nearest subway stop: Taitung Road Station (台东路站) on Line 3, right at the edge of the market
- Notes: A famous night market in Qingdao with street food and small shops. Evening hours only; best visited after 6–7 PM.
By using the nearby subway stations and main street intersections, you should be able to locate these attractions on any map or navigation app. Qingdao’s public transport is fairly easy to use, and most taxi drivers will recognize the neighborhoods and street names in Chinese.
