We've stayed on Crescent beach before and LOVE IT! Really soft, powder white sand. We're coming back to St. Augustine in August of this year and have found a place Barefoot Trace Condominiums on St. Augustine Beach and I was wondering if the beach is as nice as Crescent Beach and if Barefoot Trace is a nice condo complex?
Thanks for any input.
Crescent Beach and St. Augustine Beach each have their own charm, but there are some differences that might help you decide what to expect. Crescent Beach is famous for its soft, powdery white sand and relatively quiet, low-density environment. It feels more secluded and less developed, which is why many people love it for relaxation and long walks on the beach.
St. Augustine Beach, where Barefoot Trace Condominiums is located, is larger and more developed. The sand is generally soft and pleasant, but it’s not quite as powdery as Crescent Beach. August is peak summer, so you can expect more visitors, especially near the public access areas, restaurants, and bars along A1A.

Regarding Barefoot Trace Condominiums:
In summary, if you loved Crescent Beach for its softness and quiet, St. Augustine Beach will feel busier and slightly coarser, but still very enjoyable. Barefoot Trace Condominiums offers a solid beachfront experience with easy access, making it a good choice for a summer vacation on St. Augustine Beach. You can expect a lively beach town atmosphere, plenty of amenities, and direct beach access — just not quite the serene, powdery experience of Crescent Beach.
