Summer Palace Tour - Spend a relaxing afternoon in Beijing

How to get there: 🚇
We arrived at the Summer Palace by taking Line 4, which is conveniently located in a charming shopping area full of restaurants 🍜 and souvenirs 🛍️.
After a short 5-10 minute walk, you’ll reach the East Gate, where you can enter by showing your QR code, purchased through the miniapp on WeChat (we found the link on Trip.com). We opted for the combined ticket 🎫, which grants access to both the palace and several exhibitions around the complex. The ticket costs 60¥ per person, while just the admission ticket is 30¥ per person.

Visit: 🏯
The Summer Palace is a sprawling imperial garden centered around the vast Kunming Lake 🌊.
We started by strolling around the lake until we reached Nanhu Island, a beautiful little island right in the middle of the water 🏝️. Then we made our way towards the palace, passing beneath the famous Long Corridor with its intricately painted ceilings 🎨.
When we reached the top of the palace, we were treated to an incredible panoramic view before heading back down. The views are absolutely breathtaking! 😍

Tips: ☀️

On sunny days, an umbrella ☂️ is a must to shield you from the scorching sun!

Be sure to bring plenty of water 💧 with you, as it’s much more expensive to buy inside.

If mosquitoes are a concern for you, don’t forget to pack some repellent 🦟.
