Visit the Temple of Heaven in Beijing

Another important landmark in Beijing that is considered a symbol of the city is the Temple of Heaven. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it served as a place for worshipping the gods and praying for seasonal rain. The site is quite spacious, and I'll only mention a few of its prominent halls.
📍Location: Temple of Heaven, Dongcheng District, Beijing
🕝 Hours: Outdoors 6:40 AM - 10:00 PM, various halls 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
💰Admission Fee: 30-35 yuan
🚊Getting there: Take Metro Line 5 to Tiantandongmen Station, Exit A1

✅A must-see hall is the iconic Temple of Heaven. This circular wooden building has a three-tiered roof covered in blue tiles. This hall is used to worship the gods and pray for rain. This area is often visited by Chinese tourists, who come to worship and take photos. In front of the exit, you can find ice cream shaped like the Temple of Heaven.

The entrance and exit of the Temple of Heaven are a public park, perfect for strolling, relaxing, or taking photos. There are centuries-old pine trees and beautiful flower arrangements. You'll often see elderly Chinese people exercising here. There's also a beautiful pavilion for resting. This is another place in Beijing worth visiting if you have time. It's also a great place to pay respects for good fortune.
