Cheongju 1-Night 2-Day Trip 🫧

🚗🍃 A two-day, one-night trip to Cheongju, a short weekend escape! It truly embodies the phrase "a city where tranquility and sensibility coexist even in the heart of the city." On the first day, I headed to Sangdangsanseong Fortress and took a stroll, taking in the morning air. 🌿 As I ascended the old stone wall, I had a panoramic view of downtown Cheongju, and the mountain breeze caressed my face, refreshing my mind. Afterwards, I headed to Cheongnamdae. 🚙 Famous for being the presidential villa, I leisurely strolled through the expansive gardens and lakeside scenery. 🏞️ For lunch, I had a hearty meal of Cheongju's specialty, olgaengi hangover soup. In the afternoon, I visited the Suamgol Mural Village, admiring the charming paintings lining the alleyways and taking photos. 📸💕 In the evening, I headed to Seongan-gil Cafe Street for a latte at a quiet cafe. ☕ As night fell, the city lights twinkled, casting a romantic glow on the streets. 🌙

On the second morning, I took a leisurely stroll along the Musimcheon Stream Trail. The swaying reeds and the gentle sound of the waves seemed to ease the fatigue of my travels. 🌾 Next, I visited the Cheongju National Museum and slowly learned about Cheongju's history and culture. 🏛️ I finished off my lunch with tofu bossam (steamed pork belly) at a local favorite! The combination of soft tofu and savory kimchi filled my mouth. 😋

On the way back, I gazed out the window at the passing scenery, and I thought, "So many warm travel experiences are hidden nearby." 🚘💚 Cheongju may not be glamorous, but it's a city that offers a sense of relaxation in the simple pleasures of everyday life. 🌤️
