Chongqing Shibati Traditional Scenic Area

Chongqing's Shibati Traditional Scenic Area is a popular spot for social media influencers. Although it has been renovated and retains some of its original appearance, much of the area consists of commercial streets with faux-ancient architecture, lacking the authentic old-town charm. Nevertheless, visitors can still experience the daily life of Chongqing's mountain city through its stairways, making it a must-visit location for photo enthusiasts.

The southern entrance of Shibati is just a 10-minute walk from the Mountain City Trail. Starting from the bottom and walking upwards, you'll find that the slope of Shibati is relatively gentle. At the end of the walk, you can take an elevator to the observation deck at the top, where you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the entire Shibati area. This panoramic view is arguably the highlight of the entire district.
