Visiting a Broken Bridge over the Yalu River on the China-North Korea Border in Dandong

The term "Yalu River" only appears in geography textbooks, but now you can actually walk along the banks of this river and see it in person. The Broken Bridge itself is merely a steel structure, not particularly beautiful, but its history imbues it with a unique brilliance. By day, the river shimmers, and by night, it shimmers with lights. North Korean buildings on the opposite bank are clearly visible. The intact bridge on the other side still serves as a transportation hub, and vehicles can occasionally be seen traversing its steel mammoth! #YaluRiverBrokenBridge #Dandong
