A Delightful Start: UBC's Rose Garden

I chose to begin my UBC journey at the Rose Garden, which I believe was a great starting point. Although it's slightly smaller than I expected, I ended up wandering here for about 30 minutes, admiring the lovely assortment of roses in bloom. Truly, this spot is a treat for the senses. You can feast your eyes on the natural beauty surrounding you: roses, lush greenery, and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and North Shore Mountains; your ears catch bees buzzing, birds singing, and people discussing life's wonders; and your nose gets to enjoy the delightful aroma of roses—many roses: Red, pink, yellow, and white! Robbie Burns would certainly relish being among these beautiful blooms. It's no surprise this location is a favored spot for weddings or simply relaxing. If you want to experience the more than dozen types of roses at the UBC Rose Garden, keep in mind they're typically flowering between June and September. For me, it was a perfect starting point. It showcased the best of UBC and hinted at what awaited me later in the day. If you're visiting the campus, make sure to spend at least a little time here. You won't regret it!
