Weekend Refresh! Enjoy Nature and Gourmet on a Hike at Mount Takao

On a weekend morning, I rode the Keio Line to Takaosanguchi Station. The train was a bit crowded with people also heading for hiking and sightseeing, but that excited atmosphere was part of the fun of the trip.

As a popular tourist spot, many people had already gathered in front of the station and at the trailhead. This time, I chose Route 1 on the Omotesando path. Along the way, there are Yakouin Temple and teahouses scattered about, and the lively atmosphere lifted my spirits. I saw many families with children, couples, and elderly people, making me realize how much this mountain is loved by a wide range of people.

The area near the summit was a bit crowded, but the view overlooking the Kanto Plain was spectacular! With some luck, I could even see the silhouette of Mount Fuji in the distance.

On the way back, I took the cable car down and enjoyed the local specialties "Tengu-yaki" and "Sanpuku Dango" at a teahouse along the way. The weekend’s nature and lively crowd felt pleasant, making it a fulfilling day to refresh easily.
