The Haikou Huacai InterContinental offers amazing value for money!

Previously known as the Huayi Hotel, the Haikou Huacai InterContinental has undergone a rebranding and upgrade. The high-rise section on the left side of the hotel features apartment-style rooms, while the other side (floors 1-12) offers standard hotel rooms. The hotel 🏨 section was renovated before the rebranding. This is the second InterContinental I've stayed at this year.

This booking: The Deluxe Classic Sea View King Room is listed as 58 square meters.
Arriving at the hotel after 4 PM, the room wasn't ready yet, but front desk staff Lin consulted with management and upgraded us to a 10th-floor Executive Deluxe Classic Sea View King Room. Very satisfied—the balcony offers a great view facing Haikou city and the nearby Century Bridge, though the room didn’t feel as spacious as 58 square meters. The bedroom area was a bit compact.
The room facilities are very modern, with automated curtains.
Bathroom 🚽: Equipped with a smart toilet, hairdryer, and Byredo amenities. The walk-in closet is small but practical for storage.
Turndown service included Hainan-style partridge tea, along with four premium tea options: chrysanthemum, pu-erh, green tea, and black tea.
Room facilities and service deserve a 9️⃣ out of 10!

Executive Lounge: Although I didn’t have lounge access, I took some photos 📷 there. The afternoon tea spread looked quite lavish, though the lounge itself is a bit small. The large balcony outside the lounge is very spacious.
