While traveling in Hanam, I stopped by Starfield and stumbled upon Focal Point. I had high expectations for this pie place, already famous in Yongsan, but when I tried it in person at the Hanam branch, I realized why.
The first thing I chose was the Chungju Apple Pie. It made a delightful crunch as soon as I put my fork in it, and inside was a delightfully moist apple filling. The refreshing apple flavor and subtle cinnamon aroma blended so well with my first bite, making it feel like I was biting into autumn itself. Paired with coffee, the sweet yet clean finish was truly captivating.
Another must-try is the Seoul Bulgogi Pie! At first, I thought, "Bulgogi in a pie?" But as soon as I took a bite, the rich, sweet, and salty flavor of bulgogi filled my mouth. The bulgogi filling was packed into the crispy pie, making it more than just a dessert; it was a satisfying meal.
The store's warm and sophisticated atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a quick break from shopping. Sitting by the window, enjoying a pie and coffee, I lost track of time.
If you're planning a trip to Hanam, this focal point is a must-visit for experiencing the true essence of crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside pies. I highly recommend trying the Chungju Apple Pie and the Seoul Bulgogi Pie! ๐ฅง๐ฅ
