🌿🏯 Baohe Park

Baohe Park felt like a gentle pause in the middle of the city the kind of place that moves slower than the world around it. We entered near the Bao Zheng Memorial and immediately felt the shift in pace. Stone bridges curved over still water, and the sound of rustling trees softened every step we took. People were sitting quietly with books, feeding fish, or just staring out over the lake. It didn’t feel touristy, it felt like it belonged to the people who truly needed it 🪷📖⛲

We followed a winding path toward the old tower, where the breeze picked up just enough to lift the scent of summer flowers. There’s history here, but it doesn’t shout, it hums. Bao Zheng’s story lingers in the walls, in the thoughtful layout of pavilions and walkways. We didn’t rush. It felt like a place built to be experienced slowly, not checked off. A soft corner of Hefei that quietly stays with you 🌸👣🍵
