Located on Lantau Island, Tsz Shan Monastery in Hong Kong is a quiet religious sanctuary suitable for a day trip. When you arrive at Tsz Shan Monastery, you will be attracted by the magnificent temple architecture. The Buddha statues and altars here are full of religious atmosphere! Remember to make an appointment to enter the temple on the official website in advance!
After entering the temple, you will first pay homage in front of the Pumen Hall, and then experience the unique "water supply practice". Use a wooden bowl to hold clean water and slowly pour it into the copper bowl in front of the Guanyin statue along the trail. Then you can move to the Sutra Library to participate in the sutra copying activity. Red paper and brushes are provided for tracing the Heart Sutra. You can write quietly for about an hour to feel the Zen and experience the cleansing of the soul.
After you finish copying the sutras, don't forget to enjoy the exquisite refreshments at "Ganlufang". Free tea and snacks will be provided after 13:30 every day (the cakes are different every day). You can choose tea or coffee, and sit down with friends or family to enjoy the refreshments. It is relaxing and enjoyable, and adds to the fun of the trip.
Strolling in the temple, admiring the surrounding natural scenery and listening to the singing of birds can make people forget the hustle and bustle of the city and feel peaceful in their hearts. Tsz Shan Monastery is not only a religious place, but also a spiritual haven where people can feel the beauty of life. After the day’s journey, I returned to my daily life with a lot of gratitude, and my heart was still filled with peace and joy. This kind of itinerary allows every visitor to gain spiritual nourishment and inspiration.
