Hey babes, look! Sai Kung hides a "real-life fairy cliff" sea view—the Glass Sea at Half Moon Bay is unbelievably beautiful! The crystal-clear water paired with white sandy beaches makes every shot a wallpaper-worthy masterpiece. Save this check-in guide now 📸
🌟 Three Must-Shoot Spots
1. The rocky area extending from the beach
Walk down to the left side of the beach to the rocky area. The shallow water shows a gradient of blue and green. Crouch down and capture the scene of your "feet stepping into the transparent sea." Your friends will flood your feed asking where this is! Remember to wear non-slip shoes~
2. The wooden boardwalk and suspension bridge over the sea
Walk from the beach towards Kap Shui Chau, where you'll find a wooden boardwalk extending over the sea. The suspension bridge at the end gently sways with the waves. Take a photo of your back with the blue sea as the background for a magical vibe 🌉
3. The hilltop viewing platform overlooking the panorama
Climb the trail behind the beach for 15 minutes to the hilltop. The crescent-shaped bay of Half Moon Bay is fully in view, with the water sparkling like sapphires along the coastline. Remember to use panorama mode—every frame looks like a computer wallpaper!
🚢 Transportation Cheat Sheet
• Take a "Lam Kee Ferry" boat from Sai Kung Public Pier and tell the boatman you’re going to "Half Moon Bay." The one-way trip takes about 20 minutes (ticket costs around HK$30-40);
• Buy your return ticket in advance. After 4 PM, the boat schedule is reduced, so don’t miss the last boat!
💡 Helpful Tips
• Sunscreen is a must! UV rays are super strong by the sea, so wear long-sleeve sun-protective clothing and a wide-brimmed hat;
• Bring your own picnic mat and snacks. There’s a small convenience store by the beach but with limited options;
• For a more private experience, visit on weekdays. Weekends and afternoons are busier but still great for photos~
This Glass Sea is basically Hong Kong’s "hidden blue level." Escape the city on weekends to zone out and watch the sea here—it’s soul-healing and radiant! Quickly invite your besties to collect your own slice of Hong Kong’s midsummer blue~
