Movie magic beside the Love River: Kaohsiung Film Museum takes you to see artistic images

🎬 Venue positioning and evolution
• Origin: In November 2002, the Kaohsiung City Government established the "Kaohsiung Film Library", which is the first film and television culture promotion agency in southern Taiwan.
• Rename and transformation: In 2010, it was restructured into the "Kaohsiung Film Museum", and in 2017 it became a public art cinema with an administrative agency. In 2022, it celebrated its 20th anniversary and was officially upgraded to a public museum. It is the only public museum in Taiwan dedicated to art films.

🏛️ Architectural features and spatial layout
• The restored old building on the banks of the Love River was formerly a rehearsal venue for experimental Chinese music, and was also a junior high school building and service station.
• First floor: art salon, ticketing and cultural relics display, often with film art related activities and salon lectures.
• Second floor: small-seat theater and reading and listening area, providing various art and documentary viewing experiences .
• Third floor: The main theater seats are adjusted to about 116 seats, providing a comfortable audio-visual experience, and the equipment will be upgraded and optimized from 2023 .

• Year-round film festival planning: including art films, international short films, special film festivals, multimedia VR somatosensory screenings .
• Kaohsiung Film Festival Main Venue: Hosting the largest urban film festival in southern Taiwan since 2003, and hosting the international short film competition since 2007 .
• "Kaohsiung Film" short film subsidy program: Supporting local new film creation and promoting Kaohsiung as a friendly filming city since 2007 .

• Collects more than 7,000 film relics (posters, stills, equipment, etc.), with both film and television history research and educational map functions .
