Address: Kathmandu 44600, Nepal 🇳🇵.
Swayambhunath Temple or Monkey Temple, the eye symbol to remember the things you have done and stop to look at yourself. The stupa is shaded like a large white inverted bowl with four painted eyes on each side, which means the Dharma Eye of Buddha, a symbol of Mahayana Buddhism or Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism. It is one of the oldest and most important religious sites in Nepal and is revered by both Buddhists and Hindus. The peaceful atmosphere is perfect for praying, contemplating, or simply taking in the unique beauty and culture. You will also find Tibetan monks performing rituals and locals changing intensity, giving you a glimpse into the spiritual life and culture of Nepal. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
