Kobe Airport 4th floor observation deck area

The last morning of the 3 nights 4 days trip is greeted while looking at the sea in Osaka. It seems the room was designed so that you can see the sea while lying in bed. Like The Westin Josun Busan, since it’s an older building, the windows open wide.
At 6 a.m., I soothe my skin with a morning half-body bath. I lounge in bed until 7 a.m. and then join breakfast. As expected from a popular hotel, there is a wait for breakfast. So, I schedule my time leisurely. The breakfast isn’t tastier than other locations.
At 8 a.m., I return to the room, brush my teeth, and lie back down on the bed. Late checkout until 2 p.m. is guaranteed, but I plan to check out at 11 a.m. I rest lying down until 9:30 a.m., then get ready and head to the ATC Center across the street.
The hotel is connected by an elevated road all the way to Trade Center-mae Station, making it convenient. There’s an observatory here, and I have memories of coming here about 15 years ago when the Osaka Amazing Pass was popular, to visit the observatory for free.
I don’t use the observatory this time. From 10 a.m., Osaka manhole cards are distributed at the ATC Center building, so I pick one up. You can get the card by completing a survey on the app. On the 10th floor of the building, there’s a café lounge for local seniors.
From here, you can see the Osaka Expo site, so with the staff’s permission, I enter and take photos. Then I return to the hotel. I take pictures of the colorful New Tram passing by from the room, check out at 11 a.m., and take the hotel shuttle to Osaka Station.
I visit Umegita Park’s Ajisai Road and then see the Ando Tadao exhibition. At 1 p.m., I join an afternoon tea reservation in Fukushima. The Washoku afternoon tea is similar in quality to the one I had in Fukuoka before. It’s a very generous spread.
I go to Shin-Osaka Station and take the 3 p.m. Shinkansen, passing through Nishi-Akashi to Akashi Station. By 4:15 p.m., I collect a large number of Akashi manhole cards and head to Kobe Airport by 5 p.m. Since mobile ticketing isn’t available at the airport, I arrive an hour and a half early.
Around 5:15 p.m., while getting my ticket, I chat about various things. They say the flight will be delayed about an hour from 6:30 p.m. They leave an entire row of seats empty because many seats are free. When I say I’ll hang out in the domestic terminal and come back when it’s time to land, they say it’s a good idea.
At 5:30 p.m., I take the free shuttle from the international terminal to the domestic terminal. It’s a 3-minute walk, but the bus goes one way, making a large oval loop. The express boat terminal connected to Kansai Airport is also visited according to the boat schedule.
The order is domestic-international-express boat terminal-domestic, so it takes about 10 seconds to walk from domestic to international, about 300 meters. At the domestic terminal, I try blowing a horn like a beer tap on gyoza. There’s a miniature new product exhibition, so I take photos of everything.
I enter the international terminal. The duty-free shops are closed, and only the convenience store and vending machines welcome you. There are no restaurants inside, so it’s best to spend as much time as possible in the domestic terminal before coming here. I plan to use the same airport for a round trip next month as well. Thank you.
