【Kitakyushu Travel】 A restaurant with over 50 years of history.

During my trip to Kitakyushu, I revisited a restaurant in Kokura that I fell in love with on my previous visit 🥰

This place offers delicious fish and skewers from Kyushu, served in a robata-style setting 🍻

At the center of the counter, there's an irori (traditional Japanese hearth), where you can watch the primitive grilling right in front of you 🔥

Orders are placed with the beat of Japanese drums 🥁

The lively atmosphere makes it so much fun 🙌

One delightful feature is the "fresh vegetable sticks" served as an appetizer, which are all-you-can-eat❣️

The homemade dip is so tasty that you might overindulge, but since it's healthy, no worries 🙆♀️ haha

The sashimi is incredibly fresh ✨
The slices are thick and delightfully plump 🐟

The sashimi platter of the day included:
Sea bream / Flathead / Butterfish / Bluefin tuna / Yellowtail / Kanmon octopus

The rock oysters, packed with the aroma of the sea and rich umami, were creamy and plump❣️

The restaurant's specialty, "primitive grilling," involves slowly grilling fresh fish over charcoal in the irori. This method removes excess moisture and fat, leaving the exterior crispy and the interior tender and fluffy ♡

The concentrated umami and irresistible smokiness were simply amazing 🤤

The skewers, carefully grilled one by one, were hearty and delicious no matter what you chose ♡

While the menu pairs perfectly with alcohol, here's a surprise:
All sake is priced at 600 yen❣️

The selection is extensive, and they pour generously, filling the glass to the brim—such great hospitality 😍

The restaurant is lively, with unbeatable energetic service and smiles 🥰

This made the experience so pleasant and uplifting 🥰
