How can a cafe keep good food so affordable in Petaling St?

#celebrateit

This is an unpretentious gem I happened to find three years ago in Petaling Street when meeting up with two buddies.

The spicy shrimp pasta here was to die for, no exaggeration. First, the garlicky lemongrassy chilli sauce was irresistibly rich, whether to locals or foreigners (as long as they can eat spicy); second, it always comes with minimum five plump and succulent big prawns (yes and peeled). Third, it’s priced at RM19?!?!

The affordable pricing strategy is not only with the pasta. The latte has been at RM8 since two years ago and still is up to last week. Most importantly, at that price, they do not compromise a tiny bit with the quality. The coffee, even priced at RM11, would still be something I’m more than willing to grab on daily basis.

I personally also enjoy their grapefruit juice, which uses real fruit and very moderate level of sugar (you can opt out like I do, it’s still tasty). It’s also RM8.

Overall, I’m just impressed by both the quality and price of the F&B here. I stay in Puchong, but I still make that commitment to travel to KL at least once every two weeks. It really says a lot about how worthy this eatery is to me.
