Kuranda Scenic Railway & Skyrail – QLD

The journey to Kuranda from Cairns was an experience in itself. The Scenic Railway passed waterfalls, tunnels, and rainforest cliffs—it felt like stepping back in time. Once in Kuranda, I browsed local markets, visited the Butterfly Sanctuary, and grabbed lunch with a view. The Skyrail cableway on the return gave breathtaking views over the rainforest canopy all the way back down. It’s relaxing, educational, and the scenery is unreal. Definitely a tropical highlight of Far North Queensland.
