Kyoto Travel ~ "Arashiyama dyed with red maple leaves, surrounded by emerald colors"
I have visited Arashiyama in spring and autumn, and the scenery is really moving. I would like to visit and enjoy the cherry blossoms if I have the chance. This time, I will introduce some tips and tips to all travelers!
Classical Taiwanese Poetry:
"I feel relaxed and happy by the Togetsukyo Bridge, and stroll along the banks on a sunny day;
The waves of the Katsura River are like silk, and the flowers and the moon are like the blue water."
Arashiyama: Strictly speaking, it is not just a mountain, but a bamboo forest area located on the right side of the "Katsura River". It is famous for its different beautiful scenery with the passage of four seasons. It is designated as a "scenic spot" by the Japanese government and recognized as a "World Heritage" by the world.
Interesting little knowledge:
1. In the 13th century, Emperor Go-Saga moved Yoshino cherry trees here, making it a popular place for cherry blossom viewing.
2. From the top of Iwatayama "Monkey Park", you can see the Higashiyama Mountain in the distance.
"Poet's Mountain":
Opposite Arashiyama is Kokurayama. There is a work called "Kokura Hyakunin Isshu", which means that each poet only creates one work in this collection of poems. When many poets want to create, they will come to the opposite "Arashiyama" to look at "Kokurayama" from a distance. It is a pilgrimage when they create! !
