🌿Low-key yet lively, the hidden secret of Lincang, this small city in Yunnan holds so many surprises! The rainy days add a layer of ink-wash filter to the mountains and waters here, making it stunningly beautiful~
【Must-Visit Attractions】
✨Wengding Ancient Village
The last primitive Wa ethnic village in China, with staggered thatched houses that look like they stepped out of a painting. When the mist swirls on rainy days, it feels like traveling through time (Tip: You must try the Wa glutinous rice cakes sold by the grandmothers in the village!)
✨Wulao Mountain National Forest Park (Open 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
The golden forest in autumn perfectly matches the sea of clouds! Remember to wear non-slip shoes to walk on the wooden plank road. From the viewing platform, you can see five mountain peaks sitting like elders facing each other.
✨Lancang River Hundred-Mile Long Lake
The view from the boat is breathtaking! It’s recommended to take the 4 PM boat when the light is soft, and the Dai bamboo houses and tea gardens on both banks look like a flowing landscape painting.
✨Tea Horse Road Museum (Address: Fengxiang Road, Linxiang District)
Super niche but a treasure! The second floor’s real-life restoration of the caravan scene is perfect for shooting vintage-style photos. On rainy days, sitting in the old tea house listening to the curator tell caravan stories feels very atmospheric.
🥘Food Radar Activated!
▫️Thin Bean Noodles: The old brand "Alan Breakfast" on Wende Road, with crushed peanuts and spicy thick soup base, is amazing.
▫️Dai-style Grilled Fish: Stall No. 18 at Nankai Night Market, the tilapia wrapped in lemongrass bursts with juice.
▫️Tea Banquet: At Hecheng Ecological Tea Garden, reservation required in advance. The tea leaf scrambled eggs are so fresh they make your tongue dance.
💡Real Experience Notes:
• After October, the temperature difference between morning and evening is ridiculously large! Thin down jacket + shirt layering is the way to go.
• There is a direct shuttle bus from the passenger station to scenic spots but runs infrequently; renting a car for a day costs about 200 yuan and is more flexible.
• When buying Pu'er tea, look for the "SC" code. Experts go to Bosang Town to find tea farmers’ direct sales.
• Wengding Ancient Village has folk performances every Saturday; the 9 AM show is less crowded and better for experiencing.
