Explore The Bustling Shopping Streets of Nagoya. Osu Shopping District

Nagoya is quite a peaceful city during the day but they really changes at night, it comes alive - especially in the Osu shopping district

I started off at my hotel in Sakae and literally followed the lights and the noise all the way to the Osu district.

If you walk down Hisaya - Ōdori street you will find all the usual flagships you can expect in a major city along with Japanese department stores and plenty of restaurants

Then the stores get smaller and more independent as you hit the Osu area. If you’re particularly interested in thrifting or vintage clothing this area is perfect for you! There are vintage boutiques that sell second hand designer clothes and then bigger stores where you can buy bulk vintage clothes by weight.

The Osu area is made up of covered pedestrian streets lined with lots of shops, restaurants and street food stalls. Although it is pedestrianised there are some junctions with traffic so be careful!

I loved just taking random right or left turns and seeing where I ended up!
