[Aichi] A shrine where scrolls taken from Ise Shrine are enshrined.

Located in Iseyama, Naka Ward, Nagoya, Iseyama Shinmeisha Shrine is a historic shrine said to have been founded in the early Muromachi period. ⛩️

Its origins date back to the wars of the Northern and Southern Courts period, when a scroll was taken from Ise Grand Shrine and brought to Owari, where it was eventually enshrined here. The hill where the scroll was enshrined came to be called "Iseyama," and the shrine's nickname, "Maki no Mori," also comes from this origin!
