#March Good Places 2025
This time I experienced the Japanese tea ceremony at Shigendo in Nagoya and went to Nagono Hanasenca, which is a super atmospheric place! Not only can you taste traditional matcha or other selected Japanese teas here, but you can also pair it with seasonal-limited wagashi to feel the Japanese delicate pursuit of seasonality**.
It happened to coincide with chestnut season, so we tried a chestnut buffalo, which was simply full of surprises! The chestnuts are rich in flavor, rich in layers, and have a faint sweet aroma in the mouth. Drinking with tea is a complete taste enjoyment. Moreover, the traditional Japanese wagashi offered here are very exquisite, each one is full of thought, both in appearance and taste, making people feel the unique artistic sense of wagashi.
The overall environment is quiet and full of traditional Japanese atmosphere, and the owner is very attentive to introduce the characteristics of each tea and wagashi to customers. If you want to experience the most authentic Japanese tea ceremony and feel the changing seasons, Nagono Hanasenca is definitely worth a try!
