My first night hike up Hard Man Ridge – for the dazzling fireworks at Fisherman’s Wharf

The "2025 Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf Midsummer Fun," hosted by the New Taipei City Department of Fisheries, has become a major summer event in New Taipei City. The 2025 Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf Fireworks Show on August 24th is the grand finale; be sure to attend!

For a great view of the fireworks, we decided to hike up Guanyin Mountain's Hard Man Ridge. Starting August 10th, the show will take place at 8 PM for three consecutive Sundays. We decided to hike Hard Man Ridge for the first time!

For the best viewing spot, Hard Man Ridge stays open all night, bustling with activity and making it incredibly crowded. If you want a good spot for the Fisherman's Wharf fireworks, be sure to reserve a spot early!
