Shitennoji Temple⛩️ was built in 593 AD by Prince Shotoku, making it Japan's first Buddhist temple.

Although many of the buildings have been rebuilt numerous times over the centuries due to fires, it remains beautiful.

The temple complex features a five-story pagoda and other main buildings, representing a remarkable architectural style.

The temple is home to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara and is part of the Washu sect of Buddhism.

Admission to the Central Temple: 300 yen for adults
Gokuraku Jodo Garden: 300 yen
