In Japan, the Salon du Chocolat, commonly known as "Salo Chocolat," is held at Isetan during Valentine's Day.
In fact, this festival originated in France. 🇫🇷
In France, it's held every October at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles event venue.
It's a little far from central Paris, about 40 minutes away, but it's easily accessible by bus or metro. 🚌
The brands exhibited at Salo Chocolat were almost completely different from those exhibited at Japanese Salon Chocolat events, and I didn't recognize many of them, but both were delicious and artistic.
Even the dog statues (6th photo) and keys and padlocks (8th photo) were all made out of chocolate. Amazing, right?
The event also featured a fashion show, which was a huge hit!
There were also Japanese booths, and items made with mochi and matcha were particularly popular.
There were plenty of shops selling macarons as well as chocolate, giving me a real French vibe. 🇫🇷 I waited in line at a shop, but I was surprised at how generous they were to let me try a whole macaron while I waited. lol
It's being held again this October, so be sure to check it out! 🍫
📍Location: 1 Pl. de la Prte de Versailles, 75015 Paris, France
🗓️Itinerary: Scheduled for October 29th - November 2nd in 2025
