Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) is a group of huge rocks located about 40 minutes by car from Uluru. The 36 rounded rocks are lined up in a mysterious landscape that makes you feel like you are feeling the heartbeat of the earth. It is also known as a sacred place for Aboriginal people, and just visiting it makes you feel like your mind is calming down🌏
When I actually visited, I walked along the Valley of the Winds trail, surrounded by the wind blowing through the rocks and silence, and felt a sense of unity with nature. It has a different kind of strength from Uluru, and even solo travelers can be deeply moved.
It is about 40 minutes by car from Ayers Rock Resort. It is common to visit by tour or rental car.
The key to success is "early morning trekking". By starting to walk before the temperature rises, you can enjoy the spectacular view comfortably. Hydration and a hat are essential! 📸
