Wat Ratchaburana, Ayutthaya, is very beautiful in the evening.

We're still in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. After visiting and paying our respects at Wat Phra That, we're off to another highlight temple with an interesting history dating back to the Ayutthaya period.

Wat Ratchaburana, located next to Wat Mahathat, is a must-see for the temple's sacred prang, a large and deep crypt with three large chambers containing numerous treasures and gold objects. Once, a group of thieves attempted to excavate the site, leading the Fine Arts Department to take care of it. The site has been preserved at the National Museum for future generations to study and learn from.

Admission fee: Thais 10 baht / Foreigners 50 baht

** Tourists can purchase a combined ticket to visit the various temples and historical sites at the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Tel. 035-242525

Location: Wat Ratchaburana is located just 3 minutes from Wat Mahathat. Open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
