Shijiazhuang's weather has returned to its original state. What was that strange weather a few days ago, with sudden changes and rain? Although today is cloudy, the visibility is very high, and the mountains look stunning. Many friends took advantage of the weekend to go to Zhongtai Mountain to enjoy late autumn and see the rime, while our plan was to enjoy the red leaves.
There are many places to see red leaves in Shijiazhuang. (Feel free to add and share)
Scenic spots: Xiantai Mountain, Hongyanling (Yangquan), Qingliang Mountain, etc.
Wild mountains:
Shuxiang Mangu Scenic Area next to Qingliang Mountain.
There are many wild mountains near Tiangui Mountain and Mumu Water where you can enjoy red leaves, such as Yoga Mountain, Malunao, Shajiutuo, Songshuling (traffic jams every year), Eshi Village, Xihuapen, and so on.
Jingxing Longfeng Mountain (when the water volume is large, you can also see Dengzhan Waterfall), the road is narrow and difficult for cars to pass each other.
Self-driving route: Taihang No.1 Highway. You can navigate according to "Lianggou Bridge - Shenshuiquan Village - Geliang - Niangziguan."
Our original plan was to go to the wild mountains around Tiangui Mountain and Mumu Water, but we hadn’t decided on a specific mountain. Later, a friend said the apples in Eshi Village are delicious, so we chose this place! After climbing the mountain, you can also pick apples. Unfortunately, we came too early. You can see the red leaves, but the apples are a few days early. The villagers told us that picking is only allowed after the Frost Descent solar term.
For friends who want to enjoy red leaves and pick apples, next week is just right!
Navigation: Eshi Village, Pingshan, Shijiazhuang
Driving time: 1 hour 45 minutes
Parking: Park on the side of the road in the village
Track: Liuzhijiao 9396517
Starting from Eshi Village, you can continue driving about 2KM along the cement road inside. Along these 2KM, there are apple orchards on both sides. After passing the apple orchards, you can continue climbing the mountain. We hiked about 5KM in total before coming down. The kids’ hearts were all on the apples, wanting to come down early to pick them.
When I was a child, our village had an orchard. During harvest season, the village women and children all joined in, and the reward was to eat as much as you want. After picking, when the leaves had fallen, in winter, sneaking into the orchard, you could still find one or two leftover fruits on the branches.
Today, I experienced the joy of picking again. I specially brought a 5-meter-long picking tool and picked some persimmons by the roadside. However, it’s a bit early now; most persimmons are still hard and need to be left for a while before eating.
