A second stay at a homestay in Qingyuan! A poetic retreat hidden in the mountains and forests

Always torn between "wanting to relax" and "fearing hassle" on weekends? This time, just head straight to Xiyang Yishanjing Homestay in Qingyuan— the moment you open the door, all your worries are swept away by the mountain breeze~

"The portal from city to nature"

A half-hour drive from downtown, the road is lined with lush green trees and babbling streams, and the air is filled with the scent of grass and wood! The homestay is nestled in the embrace of green mountains, with white walls and black tiles perfectly blending with the landscape. Getting out of the car feels like stepping into an ink painting~

"Open the window to mountains and fields, every inch is healing"

We booked the Jianshan Tingyu room, where opening the window reveals endless mountain views! The wooden furniture carries a faint woody fragrance, the bed is as soft as sinking into clouds, and the mattress can even adjust according to your body shape (a detail lover’s dream~). What touched me most was the small balcony—furnished with rattan table and chairs, brewing tea while watching the bamboo sway, time slows down as if paused~

The room also has a private hot spring bath! Soaking in warm water while watching the mountain mist drift over bamboo tips, all fatigue just disappears~ The Yueqi Fengji room is even more amazing, featuring a Japanese-style courtyard. Sitting on a stone bench listening to the stream and bell sounds, even the breeze carries a cool scent of fresh grass~

"Eat in the wild, happiness doubles"

Breakfast is homemade by the homestay! Freshly cooked noodles with fresh vegetables, fruits, and pickles, every bite tastes like a home-cooked meal by mom~ Special praise for the afternoon tea! The nine-grid platter is exquisitely arranged with osmanthus cake and nut assortments, paired with tea brewed from mountain spring water, even photos come with a natural filter~

The homestay is super thoughtful: free drinks (honey water, lemon tea) are provided, toiletries are disposable (friendly for sensitive skin), and even the bath towels are soft and fluffy~ Tea lovers, remember to bring your own tea leaves! The public area’s Chinese tea set creates a great atmosphere, any casual photo looks like a classical masterpiece~

"Pet-friendly + water paradise, loved by the whole family"

Pets are welcome here! The public space is huge, and many dog owners bring their furry friends to play on weekends. The homestay also has a very well-behaved cat and a dog named Wangcai (petting cats and dogs doubles the healing~).

Right next to the homestay is a clear stream! In summer, bring the kids to play in the water, catch little fish, or lay out a picnic mat to sunbathe—much more fun than going to an amusement park~

"Nearby activities: rafting + farm, a different day every day"

For thrills, go rafting at Gulong Gorge (a must in summer!); meat lovers should head to Zhuzaiyuan Cowboy Farm (15 minutes by car), where the Sanmada large fan beef is so tender that juice bursts with every bite, and the beef balls are so bouncy they could play ping pong~

"Transportation TIPS"

Self-driving: half an hour from Qingyuan city center; about 1.5 hours from Guangzhou/Foshan.
High-speed rail: 20 minutes from Guangzhou South to Qingyuan Station, then a 30-minute taxi to the homestay.

Summary: There’s no rush like at trendy check-in spots here, only the relaxed feeling of "wasting time." Open the door to mountain breeze, lie in bed to the sound of insects, even your breath carries the scent of grass and wood—this is what weekends should be like!

(P.S. The second stay is because I really can’t quit! Next time I want to bring my parents, soaking in the bath while watching the mountains, just thinking about it makes me happy~)
