Quanzhou's Xunpu Village boasts a thousand-year history and is rich in historical and cultural resources. Backed by mountains and facing the sea, the village relies primarily on fishing for red oysters, a staple of Quanzhou's red oyster production, hence the name "Xiepu Village."
Xiepu Village has two key features:
First, its oyster shell houses, constructed from oyster shells. The uneven, uneven shells shimmer in the sunlight, creating a vibrant, unique and beautiful scene.
Second, the Xunpu women are known for their diligence and beauty. They wear long skirts and wide trousers, wear hairpins and wreaths, and ivory chopsticks in their hair. Their unique decor makes them a treasure trove of traditional folk culture. It's about 10 kilometers by taxi from Quanzhou city.
