This seafood market is incredibly fresh, especially the large crabs and various fish. The vendors are friendly. I recommend going in the morning, as they might sell out by the afternoon. The giant crab legs are very tempting (but I didn't eat them).
Some shops have seating, but there's a bit of a wait. Some people buy takeout.
The prices are clearly displayed, from cheap to expensive.

I highly recommend visiting Nijo Market if you're visiting Hokkaido. It's within walking distance of the Sapporo TV Tower.
