Wat Dafa, Shangri-La

The golden statue was built in 2005 and is another important temple in Shangri-La. Inside the building is a large Buddha statue and a 23-meter-high golden prayer wheel that people like to spin while chanting so that the prayers echo to heaven. Besides being a sacred place, it is also one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the city. The path to the temple is quite steep, so you have to walk up slowly. The temple is located in the old town, and it is believed that if you spin the prayer wheel three times, it will bring good fortune to your life. However, it requires many people to spin it because it is very heavy.
