⏰ Timeline:
7:00 Depart from Shenzhen city center
> Self-drive navigation to "Yangmeikeng parking lot" or take E11 to Xinda Bus Terminal and transfer to M274 to Yangmeikeng Station
> Weekend traffic restrictions require transfer to a shuttle bus at Judiao Beach (CNY 15/person)
9:00 Yangmeikeng hiking starting point
> Walk 2 km along the coast along the Luk Zui Promenade coastal boardwalk
> Check in at the same sea rails as "Spirited Away" at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club
10:30 Departure from the mountain entrance
> Officially start Trail No. 5 (stone steps + dirt road throughout)
> The altitude gradually increases, with viewing platforms every 0.5 km
12:00 Climb to the top of Dayan Peak
> Shenzhen's third highest peak (801m) 360° viewing platform
> Dapeng Bay on the left and the Pacific Ocean on the right, golden moments for drone aerial photography
> Lunch recommendation: Bring your own sandwiches + fruit (no supplies on the top of the mountain!)
13:30 Downhill Luyan Science Trail
> Cross the misty jungle trail (beware of wet moss)
> Look across the sea to Hong Kong's Sam Mun Tsai Island from Viewing Platform No. 3
15:00 Arrive at Luk Zui Villa
> Go straight to the Mermaid Cave where the movie "The Mermaid" was filmed 🎬
> Take photos of the famous scene of crashing waves along the wooden boardwalk
17:00 Return happy hour
> Take a speedboat back to Yangmeikeng (CNY 40/person, very exciting!)
> Or stroll along the 4 km rocky beach along the sunset coastline

⚠️ Lessons learned from blood and tears:
You can prepare trekking poles, and 2,400 consecutive steps will teach you how to behave
There are toilets only at Dayanding/Luk Zui Villa throughout the whole journey, so it is recommended to solve it before climbing the mountain
The return speedboat stops running at 18:00. If you miss it, you need to walk for 1 hour to return
🎒 Equipment list:
▫️ At least 2L of water + salt pills (no supply stations along the way!)
▫️ Non-slip hiking shoes (the slope of some sections reaches 60°)
▫️ Windproof jacket (the temperature difference on the top of the mountain is large)
▫️ 20000mAh power bank (can't stop taking pictures at all)
