🇸🇬 Ovation of the Seas — Our Real Experience

We went as two big families (18 people!) with two little kids 👶👧.
Before coming, we did tons of research and planning 📚🛳️.

After Day 1 onboard, here’s what we found:

1️⃣ Baby gear: USB-connected thermos bottles are allowed 👍 — perfect for boiling water for the baby.
2️⃣ Bring your own water: 💧There’s no free drinking water provided on the ship. Buy water in advance — it’s much cheaper. Many people literally carry whole boxes onboard! 📦
3️⃣ Clothes: During the May Day holiday, the weather was nice ☀️ — mostly T-shirts during the day. But it gets chilly on the deck at night ❄️, so bring a jacket or windbreaker.
4️⃣ Buffet: Honestly, the buffet was just okay 🍽️😅.
5️⃣ Family-friendly: The kids had a blast — super curious and excited 🤩. Lots of shows that grandparents enjoyed too 👴👵. Cruising is great for multi-generation trips!
6️⃣ Cabin choice: We booked a mid-ship balcony room 🌅 — loved the balcony and even saw a stunning sunset 🌞.
7️⃣ Check-in tip: Bind your credit card ahead of time 💳 — makes onboard spending way easier.
8️⃣ Seasickness: Barely noticeable! We brought motion-sickness medicine for adults and kids but didn’t need it 💊. Our room was on Deck 13 — just a slight sway, no problem.
9️⃣ Service: Pretty good overall 👌. When we asked for a baby crib 🛏️, the staff brought it right away.
🔟 Bring these yourself: No toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, or slippers are provided — pack your own 🪥🩴.
