Route Planning

Depart from Chengdu, pass through Dujiangyan, Wenchuan, and Songpan to reach Jiuzhaigou. The total distance is approximately 400 kilometers, with a driving time of 5-6 hours. Along the way, you can enjoy the natural scenery of Western Sichuan.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Depart from Chengdu in the morning, take the Chengguan Expressway and switch to the Duwen Expressway. Take a break at Miansi Service Area and try the local specialty tofu feast. Arrive at Songpan Ancient Town by noon, explore the town and enjoy local delicacies like yak meat hotpot. In the afternoon, continue to Jiuzhaigou. After arrival, check into a hotel near the entrance of Jiuzhaigou. In the evening, stroll around the area and try Tibetan-style barbecue and other local snacks.

• Day 2: Book tickets in advance on the Aba Tourism website. Enter Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area around 7:30 AM. First, visit Mirror Lake to capture reflections when there's no wind, then head to Zechawa Valley to explore Long Lake and Five-Color Pond. Have lunch at Nuorilang Service Center. In the afternoon, visit Shuzheng Valley to admire Nuorilang Waterfall and Shuzheng Lakes.

• Day 3: If time permits, re-enter Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area to explore Rize Valley, visiting attractions like Arrow Bamboo Lake, Panda Lake, and Five-Flower Lake.
