In May, it’s still the transition period, but in June, Kangle Grassland becomes legendary!
The endless green looks like God spilled a palette of colors🌱, the creek babbles by your feet, cattle and sheep lazily nibble grass like scattered cotton candy, and above you is a cartoon-like blue sky with white clouds☁️... What kind of magical place is this!

✅ Peak greenery: The grassland is most lush from June to August, every photo looks like a Windows desktop!
✅ Fewer people, wild scenery: Compared to popular grasslands, this place is more pristine and tranquil, you can have the whole hillside to yourself!

▪️ Self-drive navigation to “Kangle Grassland,” about 1.5 hours from Zhangye city center
▪️ Recommended to charter a car or join a tour; some road sections have weak signals, off-road photography and camping tours offer great value
🌞 My Experience
Lying on the soft meadow, watching cloud shadows slide over the hillside, listening to the creek and zoning out... instantly understand why the ancients said “stealing half a day of leisure.” The beauty here has a healing magic, your phone can’t capture even a tenth of it! (But I still snapped 200 photos haha)
