Zhishan Garden is located at the lower right side of the National Palace Museum in Shilin District, Taipei City, covering an area of approximately 5,000 square meters. It was built in 1985 under the supervision of Qin Xiaoyi, the then director of the National Palace Museum in Taipei. The design of Zhishan Garden was based on the garden landscaping of the Song and Ming dynasties. In addition to appreciating the scenery, there are several buildings in Zhishan Garden that are worth visiting, including the main gate of Zhishan Garden, Dragon Pond, Lanting, Songfeng Pavilion, and Xizhi's calligraphy on exchanging caged geese. The park has small bridges, flowing water, lush flowers and plants. It is relaxing to stroll in the garden. It is a great place to relax on holidays.
